Puerto Rico's petition to the White House

As you probably know, on November 6, Puerto Ricans express our opposition to continue with the present political relationship with the United States. The plebiscite in Puerto Rico on November 6, consisted of two questions. In the first, they asked if we wanted to continue with the present political relationship and a majority of 54% voted no. In the second, of three political formulas, guaranteed by international law, statehood was chosen by 61% of the votes. The plebiscite was designed according to the parameters suggested by a White House committee, appointed by President Obama. Currently, we are involved in many projects seeking support from the Federal Government to the plebiscite of November 6, to enforce their results.
My particular effort is to achieve 25.000 petitions before December 8, 2012 at the White House website. As this issue concerns all Americans, we are asking everyone's efforts. Puerto Ricans have been U.S. citizens since 1917 and have fought in every war since that time and our share of blood is the highest among the states. In the same way that we have accompanied you in those wars, we ask you to join us in this one.
Access wh.gov/9gSy , that is our petition to the White House, make it yours. In 15 days 13.488 American citizens from all parts of the United States, have supported this petition. Can you help?
